YanVPN / Route selection

Cross-border access: choose an exit region first

Coverage tells you which locations are available to choose from; route type describes the path your data takes. YanVPN offers 100+ countries and 210+ routes. Before choosing, check which locations your target service supports, then test the connection with your local network and at the times you plan to use it.

Nearby locations do not necessarily mean the same route

The same exit location may have different entry points and relay paths. IEPL dedicated, relayed, and direct routes offer clues about the path; they do not rank speeds for every destination. On your first connection, choose a route in a location supported by the service, then open the website or app you intend to use. Being able to sign in, load content, and submit requests is more useful than judging by the route name alone.

If pages load slowly during the evening peak, keep the same exit location and compare other routes in that location. This helps reduce the impact of changing your account region. If every route is slow, check your local network, client mode, and background downloads. Don’t conflate a weak local Wi-Fi signal with an issue on the international route.

Test for your use case, not just connectivity

For AI tools, check that you can submit a request and receive a complete response. For streaming, play a specific title. For remote work, check meetings, file syncing, and work platforms. A successful connection in the client only confirms that a connection was established; it does not replace testing the service you want to use.

This location table explains how to choose; it does not guarantee that every city or route will always offer the same service. Check the dashboard for current exit locations, route types, and available options. For account benefits, catalogs, and content licensing, also check the target platform’s own rules.

YanVPN / Evening peak stability

Choosing routes during evening peaks

Video buffering and slow page loads can stem from your local connection, the international route, or the destination server. YanVPN offers multiple locations and routes, so you can try a different path while keeping the same destination region. During evening peaks, pause background transfers first, then compare how routes in the same location perform. Keep the app, destination, and local network unchanged to tell whether switching routes helps. More routes give you more options; they do not guarantee identical performance across all network conditions.

YanVPN / Monthly plans and data packages

Choose a plan based on your data needs

Start by estimating how you use the service, then compare data allowances. If you mainly use text-based tools and browse websites, consider starting with a smaller allowance and reviewing your actual usage. If you often stream video, download files, or sync content across multiple devices, include those needs in your estimate. All prices below are for monthly plans; device count does not determine plan tiers.

Reset dates and mid-cycle upgrades

Monthly plan data resets each month on the activation date, not necessarily on the first of the calendar month. After activation, check your plan and billing period in the dashboard. If you upgrade mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated based on the remaining days. Review the displayed result before making changes to confirm the new allowance and expiry schedule. A plan change is not simply an extra, separate data package.

Pay with Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. After paying, return to the dashboard to check your order and subscription status. There’s no need to submit the same order again before its status is confirmed. If the payment result doesn’t match what the dashboard shows, submit a ticket with the relevant order details so support can check it.

No fixed usage period? Compare data packages

Data packages never expire and remain available until used up: ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, ¥658/3000GB. They’re billed differently from monthly plans, where data resets each month. Compare them based on your usage pattern, not just the upfront price. Occasional heavy use and steady daily use may call for different options.

Data allowance is not a speed tier, and unlimited devices does not mean unlimited data. Compare price, allowance, reset schedule, and device rules separately to find a plan that fits better than simply choosing the largest number.

YanVPN / FAQs

What to check before getting started

Before your first connection, get familiar with the dashboard, data allowance, and service limits. For detailed client setup and troubleshooting, continue to the Help Center and guides.

Do I need an email address to create an account?

No email required. Create an account with a username and password. Save your login details and keep your subscription information secure. In the user dashboard, you can check your plan, get clients, and submit support tickets. The “Try Free” button takes you to the dashboard; check the dashboard for details of what’s available.

How many devices can I connect at once?

There’s no limit on devices connected at once. YanVPN supports Windows / macOS / iOS / Android / Linux. Device count and data allowance are separate limits, so consider your combined usage across devices when choosing a plan. During initial setup, test the connection on each device to make sure its network mode is configured correctly.

Where can I get the client and subscription details?

Get clients and subscription details through the user dashboard. After signing in, you can get clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux; the dashboard will show the requirements for iOS. Import your subscription using the guide for your platform, check the route list and connection mode, then test a service you use regularly. Treat subscription details as account credentials and don’t share them publicly.

Go to the dashboard to get a client →
Why can’t I open a website after connecting successfully?

A successful connection only means the client established a connection. The destination service may still be affected by your exit location, account status, or an issue with the service itself. First check whether other websites work, then make sure the app is using the right network mode. If only one destination is affected, note the message and compare routes that meet its location requirements. Avoid changing every setting at once, so you can still identify the cause.

How do refunds and payment methods work?

YanVPN offers 7-day no-questions-asked refunds and accepts Alipay / WeChat Pay / USDT. See the service terms for the full refund policy. To request a review, submit the relevant order details and your request through the dashboard’s ticket system. Don’t send account passwords, subscription details, or sensitive payment information through public channels. Before paying, check the plan allowance and billing method to avoid having to change a plan later.

Articles on route selection and networking

Choosing a subscription involves more than comparing data allowances. APIs, public networks, and gaming each have different connection requirements. First work out which part of the connection is causing the issue, then decide whether changing routes may help. These articles break down common concepts so you can apply them to your own situation.

VPN for AI APIs: Choosing an Exit Location, Concurrency, and Timeouts

Calling the OpenAI or Claude API is different from using their web apps. A consistent exit location, concurrent connections, and timeouts for long-running requests can all affect reliability. Developers should assess the route based on how they actually make requests, rather than testing only whether the homepage loads.
